Talk Up Toastmasters!

Date(s)
February 1 – March 31, 2017

Eligible Recipients
Established Clubs

Description
What do you love about Toastmasters? Is it that it gives you an avenue to speak what is on your mind and heart? How about the self-confidence that it has built in you? Is it because your club is a great place to make mistakes and not have tomatoes thrown at you? Could it be the welcoming, energizing environment and amazing group of people in your club? People you get to mentor? The spark you start that creates a fire and increases their confidence? How about the leadership skills you get to practice?

In the beginning, it was about what Toastmasters could do for you. Now, it’s the ability to get together with people that you probably would not have met. It’s about making a difference in their lives. Is it because your career has become successful? Did you meet your sweetheart in Toastmasters? Who needs Match.com or eHarmony when you have Toastmasters? Whatever your reason, it’s time to share your story of “Why You Love Toastmasters” with those you meet to entice and encourage them to join Toastmasters.

To qualify, add five (5) new, dual or reinstated members with a join date between February 1 and March 31, and you’ll receive a special “Talk up Toastmasters” ribbon to display on your club’s banner. Qualifying clubs can also earn a special discount code for 10-percent off their next club order. (The discount code expires six months from the date of issue and is not valid with any other offer.)

Applications and payments for members with a join date between February 1 and March 31 must be received at World Headquarters or online no later than March 31. The addition of transfer and charter members does not count towards “Talk Up Toastmasters” credit.

District 37 Incentive
Winning clubs will receive a pizza celebration or bagel celebration, as well as be entered into a drawing for a $100 Toastmasters Gift Certificate. (The drawing will be held at the District 37 Spring Conference. A representative from your club must be present at the Spring Conference to win the gift certificate.)

How to Claim
Qualified clubs will be identified through a District Central report.
