District Incentives

District 37 and Toastmasters International offer incentives for achieving a wide variety of goals both at the Club and individual member levels. For additional information on these incentives, contact Program Quality Director Bill Marlow or Club Growth Director Elmer Hill.

Early Bird Challenge

September 1 – September 10, 2017 – First 50 clubs that renew 8 or more members through March 2018 will receive $25 District 37 Dollars to be used at the District Bookstore at a conference.

September 11 – September 20, 2017 – First 30 clubs that renew base membership + 2 new members through March will receive $50 District 37 Dollars to be used at the District Bookstore at a conference.

September 21 – September 30, 2017 – Clubs that renew ALL members for the entire year will receive $75 Toastmasters Gift Certificates + $100 District 37 Dollar to be used at the District Bookstore at a conference.

Club Challenge

Description
Clubs that achieve six (6) points toward their Distinguished Club Program will receive one (1) Better Speaker Series worth $50.00 by January 8, 2018).

How to Claim
Our Program Quality Director will identify qualified clubs through a District Central report.

Smedley Award Club Membership Contest

Description

In honor of Ralph Smedley, can your club add five new, dual, or reinstated members between August 1 and September 30? By doing so you’ll qualify to receive a “Smedley Award” ribbon to display on your club’s banner!

In addition to the ribbon, qualifying clubs earn a special discount code for 10% off their next club order. (The discount code expires six months from the date of issue and is not valid with any other offer.)

Applications and payments for members who join between August 1 and September 30 must be received at World Headquarters or online no later than September 30. Each member’s join date as listed on the application must be for August or September.

Note: The addition of transfer and charter members does not count toward “Smedley Award” credit.

District 37 Incentive

  1. Receive a $50 pizza celebration or bagel celebration
  2. Hold an Open House August 1, 2017 – September 30, 2017 and receive up to a $50 reimbursement + $25 in District 37 Dollars to spend at District store reimbursement for approved expenses including but not limited to:
  • Refreshments from a grocery store or restaurant (e.g. pizza, bagels)
  • Signs
  • Colorful agendas
  • Toastmaster products to promote your club or to give away as prizes

How to Claim

  1. Email request to Club Growth Director Elmer Hill at [email protected] 30 days in advance of the Open House taking place
  2. Proof of Eventbrite registration 30 days in advance of Open House
  3. A copy of the invitation/flyer of guest speaker 30 days in advance of Open House
  4. After the Open House, send the following to our Club Growth Director:
  • Record of attendance of both members and guests
  • Complete reimbursement request/voucher form

You will need to provide original hard copies of ALL receipts. No receipts – no reimbursement. Email Club Growth Director Elmer Hill to submit completed reimbursement request/voucher forms.

Talk Up Toastmasters!

Description

Toastmasters love to talk, so take advantage of it. During the “Talk Up Toastmasters” membership contest, you can encourage your members to invite guests to a special meeting where regular procedures are augmented by a discussion of Toastmasters’ many benefits. Add five new, dual or reinstated members to your roster between February 1 and March 31 to receive a special “Talk up Toastmasters” ribbon to display on your club’s banner. In addition to the ribbon, qualifying clubs earn a special discount code for 10-percent off their next club order. (The discount code expires six months from the date of issue and is not valid with any other offer.)

Applications and payments for members who join between February 1 and March 31 must be received at World Headquarters or online no later than March 31. Each member’s join date as listed on the application must be for February or March. The addition of transfer and charter members does not count for credit toward “Talk Up Toastmasters” credit.

District 37 Incentive

  1. Winning clubs will receive a $50 pizza celebration or bagel celebration, as well as be entered into a drawing for a $100 Toastmasters Gift Certificate. (The drawing will be held at the District 37 Spring Conference. A representative from your club must be present at the Spring Conference to win the gift certificate.)
  2. Hold an Open House February 1, 2018 – March 30, 2018 and receive up to a $50 reimbursement + $25 in District 37 Dollars to spend at District store reimbursement for approved expenses including but not limited to:
  • Refreshments from a grocery store or restaurant (e.g. pizza, bagels)
  • Signs
  • Colorful agendas
  • Toastmaster products to promote your club or to give away as prizes

Beat the Clock!

Description
Toastmasters are taught to run meetings on time, finish speeches on time and make membership goals on time. “Beat the Clock” is about finishing the year on schedule – with a bang!

Here’s a wonderful new club goal: Earn the “Beat the Clock” award! Plan a contest in your club to motivate every member to get involved.

Clubs adding five new, dual or reinstated members during these two months receive a “Beat the Clock” ribbon to display on the club’s banner. Membership applications and payment for members who join between May 1 and June 30 must be received at World Headquarters or online no later than June 30. Each member’s join date as listed on the application must be no later than June. Transfer and charter members do not count for credit.

In addition to the ribbon, qualifying clubs will also earn a special discount code for 10% off their next club order. Discount code expires six months from date of issue and is not valid with any other offer. Clock’s ticking – but you can still BEAT IT!

District 37 Incentive

  1. Winning clubs will receive a $50 pizza celebration or bagel celebration, as well as be entered into four (4) separate drawings for a $25 Toastmasters Gift Certificate. Clubs will get (1) entry for their first five (5) new members during the incentive period. An additional entry will be added for every new member added beyond five (5) increasing your chances of winning.
  2. Hold an Open House May 1, 2018 – June 30, 2018 and receive up to a $50 reimbursement + $25 in District 37 Dollars to spend at District store reimbursement for approved expenses including but not limited to:
  • Refreshments from a grocery store or restaurant (e.g. pizza, bagels)
